A Sky Full of Super Stars
It’s time to take a break from “Throwback Thursday” and engage in a “Throwforward Thursday.”
The day before the highly-anticipated release of their new album “A Head Full of Dreams,” Coldplay was treated to quite the opening act:
Super Bowl 50 will feature Coldplay as its halftime musical performer, offering fans an entertaining break from football…and commercials.
However, the Halftime Show is an awkward setting for any band. The excitement of the people on the field has to be almost manufactured through network choreography to ensure a great show (and visual cutaways) for the millions of television watchers (and advertisers). This doesn’t always allow for genuine reactions to the set or band in the purest sense.
With that being said, make no mistake about it, Coldplay can rock a stadium with the best of them.
Don’t believe me?
Turning the clocks forward, Super Bowl 50’s viewers will experience life in technicolor.
Coldplay’s Dreamscape
Your adventure of a lifetime has arrived.
Coldplay, taking charge of the Internet this morning, announced that their 7th studio album “A Head Full of Dreams” will be released to the world on December 4, 2015. And the Brits are continuing their tradition with yet another track list filled with imaginative song titles.
- A Head Full of Dreams
- Birds
- Hymn for the Weekend
- Everglow
- Adventure of a Lifetime
- Fun
- Kaleidoscope
- Army of One
- Amazing Day
- Colour Spectrum
- Up&Up
The new single sounds like Coldplay because of Chris Martin and his playful lyrics, but it doesn’t sound like Coldplay because they are taking chances with their newest song and not staying in their comfort zone Ramones-style.
These Brits have always expanded their musical vision with every record they conceptualize. Each album moves in an excitingly experimental direction.
Here’s our first glimpse into what’s been bouncing around the dreaming heads of Coldplay.
In one month, we’ll hear where this adventure will lead to…
A Fresh Return
“Throwback Thursday” got a little jazzy today.
Nostalgia has a very special place in all of our hearts and the past few years has been glorious/surreal in celebrating the 20th, 25th and 30th anniversaries of amazing films and television shows that made up a golden era of funny and witty entertainment.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is a prime example and Smith’s announcement is great news that DJ Jazzy Jeff will be known to multiple generations as “their DJ.” The positive feelings and memories towards this show and characters is great. Kids who grew up with the series are now showing their kids the reruns cleverly filled with humor, life lessons and the official dance moves to Tom Jones.
The good news for Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff is that parents today just may understand what they’re singing about.
2015 Will Always Be The Future
The company teased new details about the hoverboard last week, like better battery life, USB connectivity, stronger hover engines, and a safety kill switch…The new, skateboarder-friendly design is thanks to none other than Tony Hawk, who apparently had some “frank input” on the hoverboard’s design after riding the first version last year.

Arx Pax and Lexus each designed and manufactured their 1st generation hoverboards this year. Yesterday/Back to the Future Day, the former debuted its second generation hoverboard with help from its skating consultant Tony Hawk. This dream isn’t going away and that’s a reassuring revelation for the future of mankind. After watching a short .gif video of Hawk riding the new prototype, the steering looks improved. However, the desired free-range motion without the use of magnets is going to require the mind of a real-life Doc Brown. Plus, the design is not as sleek and cool as we want, but we are still one step closer to the bright future we all envision for ourselves.
Earning a front page story on USA Today is still the goal.
Now, Back to the Future Day’s main event:

Nike just did it!
How do we get a pair of the Power-Lace Nike Air Mags? So far, Nike has revealed there will be a limited-release in the Spring of 2016 and it will replicate the auction format from 2011 in which all the proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Hopefully, these shoes from 2015’s future (literally!) will help extinguish Parkinson’s Disease in the post-2015 future.
Michael/Marty: The shoes are amazingly cool, but a world without Parkinson’s Disease is the future we want first and foremost.
