“Heroes in a Half Shell” with Some Serious Turtle Power

“Man, I love being a turtle!”

Recent movies (ie-The Lego Movie) and television shows (ie-Girl Meets World) that feature nostalgic stories and characters have made a point to make them appeal to a new generation of young fans, as well as bring back dedicated fans from the past generation known as Millennials. Not only does this kind of entertainment spark fond memories of playing with toys (cough: action figures), pretending to be superheroes with friends and reminiscing about the glory of TGIF, but it bridges a gap between those in our mid-to-late 20s and our young nephews, nieces and/or children of our own.

One such venture is the anticipated action flick Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Transformers guru Michael Bay. The first trailer gave fans a glimpse at Donatello, LeonardoMichelangelo and Raphael and a small taste of the overarching story. However, the second trailer just released reveals the tone of the film and an entirely new level of action beneath the surface in the sewers of New York City.

An epic battle awaits everyone’s favorite turtles:

It is my honor to present to you a beloved John Williams masterpiece from my favorite movie of all-time:

“Life finds a way…”
