Will Chaos Theory’s Kingdom Find a Way to Survive?

Ladies and gentlemen, the first full trailer for the highly-anticipated Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is here.

In a word: Chaos. In more words, which Jurassic Park character famously specialized in chaos theory? The writers built a subtle, yet clever narrative bridge that necessarily welcomes Dr. Ian Malcolm back after 20 years. Well, he actually made a couple “appearances” in 2015’s Jurassic World

Looks like visceral director J.A. Bayona (The Impossible) has attempted to add a big, suspenseful chapter to the Jurassic Park cinematic series with Fallen Kingdom, the second film in the Jurassic World trilogy. June 22, 2018, cannot come soon enough, just as long as there are engaging Michael Crichton-esque dialogue and next-level, imaginative plot twists in equal measure. Plus, there must be several genuine edge-of-your-seat animatronic thrills in gritty, acutely enclosing situations like in the 1993 masterpiece.

Time will tell concerning director J.A. Bayona’s signature filmmaking style amidst prehistoric chaos.

It’s the Galaxy That’s Just Far Away

Well, that reggae band does sound pretty cool…

It’s no secret that the movie industry is constantly reforming the way it interacts with audiences to introduce and persuade people to see particular films. For many moviegoers, however, the content of the film (the story, actors and actresses, director, writer, etc.) is enough to spark interest. Still, this reality doesn’t prevent movie studios (large and small) from adapting to the modern online, social media and viral marketing phenomenon. This includes teaser trailers, movie poster reveals, multiple subsequent trailers (perhaps too many?) and rare insights (clips and cast interviews) for an upcoming movie at special events, like Comic-Con.

And movie fans are typically very thankful for these efforts, especially when done with added degrees of creativity.

Enter Jimmy Kimmel, Marvel Studios and Chris from Lake Stevens, WA for a brand new look at a small budget independent film.

Above all else, there’s one certainty about movies from Marvel Studios:

They like to have fun…and they’re pretty good at this “entertainment” thing.

P.S. Was the decision to release Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the day after “May the 4th Be With You” a not-so-subtle jab at the Star Wars movie universe? Well, Marvel Studios certainly wouldn’t dare challenge Star Wars on a theatrical release date in December, so…

The Future Guardians of the Box Office?

“The trailer becomes Marvel’s biggest teaser ever and is the second-most-watched trailer of any kind after ‘Captain America: Civil War.'”

(The Hollywood Reporter)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 recently debuted its teaser trailer and it’s safe to say that fans have reacted quite positively to this sneak peak.

“The trailer was viewed 81 million times online in 24 hours.”

(The Hollywood Reporter)

With this kind of surreal fanfare for the new sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, perhaps the best thing to do is watch this online and pop culture phenomenon.

This superhero movie (and Baby Groot) looks like a hoot.
