By the Hammer of Thor’s Lore (& YouTube)
Movie trailers (which now include the subset “teaser trailers”) have evolved into an art form.
It’s true.
There’s an argument to be made that the trailer (or collection of trailers) for certain films is quite literally better than the film itself. I know what you’re thinking: 2 1/2 minutes is better than a couple hours of entertainment?
Well, men think so.
Anyways, this is why the release of a movie trailer online and through various social media channels has become such a grand event for movie fans. Sure, there are still special previews during major television events, like the Super Bowl or March Madness. However, given the immediacy, widespread access and viral marketing dynamic of the internet (ie- YouTube), movie production companies continue to take full advantage of this unrivaled digital communicative infrastructure.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the first teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok that will premiere in theaters this November.
12.5 million+ voluntary views and counting on Marvel’s YouTube channel in less than 24 hours.
And this ever-increasing metric is just for the teaser trailer…in April.

The team behind Justice League is looking to do its forthcoming film, well, justice with a brand new trailer.
Continuing with the Comic Con schedule of another Saturday trailer release (even though Comic Con isn’t for a few months), Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics debuted the new Justice League trailer online and throughout its social media channels this past weekend for anxious fans and curious moviegoers. The tone and special effects appear quite similar to Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Understandable. Continuity is, after all, a top priority when weaving together many superheroes, each with their own individual film(s) during a decade-long (maybe more?) time frame.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is the aforementioned trailer for Justice League.
This movie (Justice League) could very well propel or sink the current DC superhero cinematic universe collectively and, therefore, individually as well.
No pressure.

O Captain! My Captain Under – Wait, What?
There are some blog posts that require very little introduction. Ladies and gentlemen, the following video requires only two words:
Captain Underpants.
That any serious movie studio would make such a film with that title and…
how soon can I purchase my tickets?
When a title is enough to make you laugh-out-loud (or “lol” for the younger readers), that’s a great first sign for any comedic story.
Happy Monday
Something wonderful happened over the weekend, specifically this past Saturday.
If you are unfamiliar with the name Gal Gadot, don’t worry, because you will be well acquainted with her name and her otherworldly skills soon enough (in a matter of paragraphs). If you are familiar with the female heroine Wonder Woman, then this blog post will be a terrific way to start your week.
For the first time ever, Wonder Woman will be given the silver screen treatment on June 2nd of this year. About time, right? Thus far, director Patty Jenkins (a wonder woman herself), Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics have released a couple brilliant posters and a teaser trailer for this landmark film for the legendary female superhero. But this past Saturday, Wonder Woman fans were thrilled when the “origin” trailer was released online and through social media.
In a single word: Yes.
Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) is a name people (most especially countless girls and women) won’t forget.
