The annual gathering known as Comic Con occurred this past weekend and, once again, delivered to its fans (there in attendance and those watching online) an impressive pop-culture parade of entertaining celebrity interviews, immersive movie and television show experiences and premieres of new trailers for highly-anticipated films.

The first silver screen movie starring Wonder Woman is, yes, doing wonderfully with audiences and critics alike.
Actually, to be blunt, Wonder Woman is kicking some serious ass in movie theaters across the country world!
“With $100.5 million in North America and an additional $122.5 million internationally, Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman can boast the biggest-ever opening weekend for a film directed by a woman, Variety reports.”

Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) was the scene stealer in 2016s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Ms. Gadot proved she could hang alongside Batman and Superman. Now, she is proving she can handle the big screen all by herself.
A super statement in more ways than one.
In Wonder Woman, Ms. Gadot shows off her skills and natural characteristics of a superhero capable of shining in the brightest cinematic spotlight and, more importantly, in the cultural spotlight for women and young girls. And to celebrate the historic opening weekend, let’s listen to the epic theme song for Wonder Woman written and produced by the brilliant musicial composer Hans Zimmer from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The specific title of the Wonder Woman theme above is, “Is She with You?”

Weather’s Wonder Woman
If you want your heart warmed, you’re in the right place. I discovered this story because of a recent tweet by Gal Gadot, the actress currently playing Wonder Woman.
Mélanie Ségard is a 21-year-old with Down Syndrome and she is an inspiring role model for men and women with Down Syndrome. Put more truthfully, Mélanie Ségard is an inspiring role model for all men, women and children. Her dream was to be a weather girl. And, thanks to a French nonprofit, something special was set-up for Ms. Ségard in the middle of last month.
But her lifelong wish was picked up by Unapei, a French nonprofit that advocates for “an inclusive and supportive society.” It asked: Why couldn’t a woman with Down syndrome present the weather on TV?

There are countless variables in the world, yet one of the greatest constants is the surprisingly uplifting spirit and support from people we’ve never met before in our life. Mélanie Ségard’s story is proof of this touching act from strangers.
Not one, but two, television networks invited Ségard to do the weather. She went with the national public network France 2, and trained for four days with the station’s weather team. One presenter, Chloé Nabédian, gave her tips on how to present in front of a green screen.

Something wonderful happened over the weekend, specifically this past Saturday.
If you are unfamiliar with the name Gal Gadot, don’t worry, because you will be well acquainted with her name and her otherworldly skills soon enough (in a matter of paragraphs). If you are familiar with the female heroine Wonder Woman, then this blog post will be a terrific way to start your week.
For the first time ever, Wonder Woman will be given the silver screen treatment on June 2nd of this year. About time, right? Thus far, director Patty Jenkins (a wonder woman herself), Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics have released a couple brilliant posters and a teaser trailer for this landmark film for the legendary female superhero. But this past Saturday, Wonder Woman fans were thrilled when the “origin” trailer was released online and through social media.
In a single word: Yes.
Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) is a name people (most especially countless girls and women) won’t forget.
