This Just Popped in My Head (& Microwave)
The day has finally arrived….
It’s National Popcorn Day!
As a lifelong popcorn eater, this holiday (well, it really should be) rises high on the list of the non-major celebratory occasions during the year. Whether served hot with movie theater-style butter and a sprinkle of salt or a complex combination of seasonings, popcorn is simply the best snack food. However, there are a few things that I don’t even know about this magical food.
It’s time to get schooled (but in a good way).
Fact #11: I still hate to share popcorn.
Harsh? Perhaps. And yes, this is the same snack food that is one of the lowest cost and most accessible on the market.
But popcorn is literally that delicious.

With the past few records, Coldplay has been far less cold and much more play.
There are some bands that seem to have just the right song for us, almost tailor-made when we need it most. Perhaps that’s one of the many reasons why Coldplay is as highly-regarded as they are these days. The British quartet understand how to hit the exact right notes, both melodically and lyrically. While rock n’ roll is the greatest form of music, there are moments when the dial needs to be turned down with an emphasis on day dreaming and our imaginations (even though the latter can contribute to what’s driving us crazy).
Slowing things down and dreaming wildly to find those precious answers to those pressing questions, this time with a perspective far beyond any construct found within our known reality?
Scroll down&down for a much-needed escape this Tuesday.
Why not see the world this way?
Don’t give your imagination the cold shoulder.
Play.
This is a Little Random…
Is it random to celebrate a day of randomness when it’s on the calendar?
Either way, any day filled with randomness is a great day.
February 17, 2016 is, in fact, “Random Acts of Kindness Day.” The greatest part about this occasion is that the simplest of gestures can make all the difference for someone. We all have those days and it’s incredible what a spontaneous spark of goodness can do for us. That flicker is just what we need, like happily looking at a birthday candle being lit.
How about we do something randomly nice every day of the year?
It would actually be pretty random since nobody would see it coming.
