The Force is Strong in J.J.

3? 5? 10? More than 10?

How many times have you watched the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer since it debuted just yesterday afternoon? While there are still many questions and surprises that remain for Episode VII, a few things are clear:

  • This movie will be rooted like the first three Star Wars movies that premiered in theaters between 1977-1983 to surreal fanfare, which were centered in realism without heavy interference from distractingly obvious special effects
  • There are at least 3 new lead characters that will open the story up into new, exciting directions
  • Harrison Ford Han Solo and Chewbacca look fantastic and Luke Skywalker’s narration was a fantastic homage to the character and a past film, as well as being a very intriguing plot teaser…
  • Christopher Nolan’s cinematic treasure, The Dark Knight trilogy, has inspired yet another movie franchise. This time, it’s the ambiguously broken/battered villain mask of Darth Vader that is reminiscent of the image of Batman’s mask in The Dark Knight Rises
  • So far, J.J. Abrams is proving that he was definitely the right choice for this Star Wars resurgence

Go ahead, watch it again:

Only 8 more months to go!

Life’s a Garden…And You Should Still Dig It

“Keep on keepin’ on.”

“You can’t have ‘no’ in your heart.”

“Rule number one: I’m number one.”

Rule number two: Watch the video below.

Dang!

You better believe it: Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser will be available for streaming this summer.

David Spade and Co. is coming back with the comedic roar of a Hemi engine…no snakes and sparklers here!

The 5th Arrest is Best with Jest

High-fives all around as it’s been reported that the brilliantly written and entertainingly acted sitcom, Arrested Development will officially be returning with (a randomly selected?) 17 new episodes sometime in the foreseeable future.

For the longest time, demand for more Arrested Development has been high. Fortunately, a fifth season will illuminate the world in laughter.

Three seasons on network television was just the beginning.

To the men and women behind this second revival: Thank you!

One thing to remember is that you may need Netflix (like season 4) to watch the highly-anticipated 5th season of Arrested Development.

The show’s a cross between realism and absurdity…and the result is golden.

No Shrinkage of Laughter Here

Nobody knows how to be you but you…except somebody else.

Seinfeld is undeniably one of the greatest sitcoms (and comedy universes) in history. Character development had the right momentum, the writing was brilliantly original, yet was restricted to a specific style and flow, and the comedic quartet was dynamically perfect. The guest stars were hits and some even became pop culture icons.

Soup, anyone?

It’s been reported that Jerry (himself), George, Elaine and Kramer were all based (at least in some part) on real people. That just adds to the hilarity of the stories. It also makes the characters all the more relatable.

Speaking of which, George Costanza is based on series co-creator Larry David. But who plays a better George: Jason Alexander or Larry David?

World’s are colliding!
