Happy Monday!
Nelly was right: It’s getting hot in here.
Tom Hanks and Ron Howard are back in front and behind the camera with the latest European thrill ride for everyone’s favorite symbology professor. Robert Langdon, as portrayed for the third time by Mr. Hanks in the cinematic adaptation of Dan Brown’s Inferno, finds himself at the center of yet another plot by a brilliantly villainous mind that threatens the world and its global population. Inspired by Dante, the fiery problem (and answer) takes the viewer through an esoteric labyrinth.
Lucky for Mr. Langdon, a sharp blazer and a Harvard faculty ID appear to be assets in this global mission with no less than the fate of the human race at stake.
Looks like one hell of a good movie.
Have an Adventurous Week!
Happy Monday!
The park opens…again.
Jurassic World is poised to continue its dominance, this time with HBO subscribers. The 4th installment in the Jurassic Park franchise made its first television premiere this past weekend. Watching the opening sequence again reignites the imagination of viewers as to why it was the cinematic monster of last summer. The first 10 minutes of the film are quintessential Spielberg, proof that director Colin Trevorrow did his homework for rebooting the series with a familiar tone and trademark character development.
The tease for something mysteriously epic is established from the first frame.
And the first minute was perfect for the story that unfolds. In fact, these sixty seconds are a clever throwback to the original.
Here’s to Devising/Genetically-Engineering an Incredible Start to the Week!
Happy Monday!
Guns N’ Roses + Dave Grohl’s throne + Angus Young + an AC/DC classic =
Performing at Coachella this past Saturday night, Gun N’ Roses called up rock n’ roll buddy Angus Young from AC/DC to provide a little electricity (and Duck Walk) on-stage alongside Slash and Duff as Axl Rose was forced to sit with a broken foot. However, despite his limitation, it was recently announced that Axl will tour with AC/DC (lead singer has to rest with hearing problems) starting May 7th in Portugal. Once his crossover with his Australian friends concludes, the Rose of Guns N’ Roses will return for a U.S. stadium tour beginning mid-June.
Injury or not, rock n’ roll should always have a stage available with Fender amps ready to be blown out by a Les Paul.
Welcome to the New Week!
