There are movies. There are films. And then there are life-altering experiences.
This blog post is a wonderful medium to dive deep into speculation surrounding a future must-see movie with integrity and imagination. However, this blog is equally self-aware (the writer, not the “blog”) of when a video can create a greater impact and/or be a great partner with words. As a former student of broadcasting, as well as a current student in a sense of evolving media in the ever-changing 21st century, visuals can provide deeply impressionable insight into a certain topic or individual.
In today’s case, a particular actor said all that needed to be said.
Enter Keanu Reeves when he recently discussed arguably his greatest series of films (no, not the complicated ones with the red and blue pills) and the very real next step of developing a monumental comeback for an iconic character that has and will stand the test of time.
The world universe thanks you, Ted.

Stranger things are certainly happening in 2017.
But let’s not forget that weird events started occurring back in 1983…
The Screen Actors Guild spotlighted the nostalgic powerhouse Stranger Things as the winner of “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble” during last night’s ceremony. The Netflix show has been accurately described as Steven Spielberg meets Stephen King. Playing by the new rule of non-network TV (10-episode seasons released all at once), Stranger Things has captivated audiences (myself included) that a season 2 order was going to be a sure thing just weeks after Netflix watchers binge-watched all of season one’s hour long episodes.
And ladies and gentlemen, for any TV show, that’s an impressive feat.
While the award is nice (and yes, the speech by the show’s heroic Chief Hopper and Winona Rider’s wide-ranging facial expressions constructed the viral highlight of the night for the Netflix sensation), let’s celebrate the overall awesomeness of Stranger Things by seeing and listening to portions of the show’s incredible synthesized soundtrack…
as performed by three cello players.
Those string things are pretty cool.

The Chicago Cubs stunned the Cleveland Indians 9-3 in Game 6 of the World Series last night in Cleveland. It’s clear the Indians need to throw everything they have at the Cubbies in the decisive Game 7.
On that note…

As has been written/requested/begged on Jimmy’s Daily Planet (This Wild Thing is…Major League and There’s Always the 7th Inning Relief), the Cleveland Indians have the opportunity to win the all-important (second to the World Series, I suppose…) pop culture battle with the Chicago Cubs (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Rookie of the Year, Back to the Future Part II’s near prescient prediction back in 1989) by calling on the franchise’s best relief pitcher:
Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn.
Before getting all hopes up of the awesomeness that could transpire tonight (a step-by-step recreation of that famous “Wild Thing” outfield entrance against the New York Yankees in the original Major League, uniform, hat, glasses, haircut, song, strut and all), let’s just all stay tuned at the very beginning of Game 7 of the 2016 World Series at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
If the Cleveland Indians and Charlie Sheen actually pull this off, it would take “winning” to an entirely new, awesome level.
