And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the masterclass tour of the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot.

7 Words (& More) You Can Say on TV

Our culture in 3 1/2 minutes.

Remember when George Carlin was the caliber of comedian you could see watching The Tonight Show? George was funny, brilliant and, yes, curious about the world around him. That routine above is not only impressive for its performance value, but it’s a perfect encapsulation of the type of clever writer Carlin was throughout his career.

Every word was written and said with purpose. That precision combined with his insight and eye-popping mannerisms are what elevated him to the biggest, brightest stage of stand-up comedy. He grabbed your attention, kept it and closed every show with that same energy and an exclamation point.

His stuff was awesome.

Happy Throwback Thursday!

P.S. RIP George Carlin.

Working 5 in 9

Robert Lewandowski did the impossible.

A display of pure brilliance from a Bundesliga match earlier today between Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg is going to seem unreal, utterly fanciful.

It’s not.

Soccer is the beautiful game and there have been countless goals, braces and hat-tricks throughout its extensive history that warrant great fanfare. Some of these moments define players forever. Forwards (for instance) cannot score off of every touch, pass or shot. That just doesn’t happen.

Or, that never used to happen.

For any striker, patience combined with relentless effort and vision is what creates opportunities to score and celebrate in style.

Okay, here we go.

Watch the entire video and pay close attention to Bayern Munich player Robert Lewandowski (#9 in red), his total goal tally AND the time frame of the goals. Oh, and he was a substitute at the beginning of the second half.

In one word: Epic!

1 = Goal
2 = Brace
3 = Hat-Trick
4 = TBD
5 = The Wolf Hunter

Happy St. Patrick’s Day: No Tomorrow Version!

100%…1/2…1/3…1/4…1/8…or even 1/16th.

When tracing Irish ancestry, it doesn’t matter what the denominator is, as long as you have a one in the numerator, that constitutes a bloodline that flows through your body from a distant Irish relative, which means it’s party time today!

If you’re not Irish and you want to join in the festivities? Well, wear something green, sing-a-long to the songs of the old country, embrace the joyful craziness and bottoms up!

And if you happen to be a single girl with a cute smile, maybe give a kiss to a gentleman with some Irish in him wearing say, I don’t know (but I definitely do) dark navy jeans and a sharp green mini-gingham button down shirt…

There is an inclination nay, a responsibility of all us with Irish history in our bones to make this the most legen-wait for it…

dary St. Patrick’s Day of our lives!

If you’re nervous, rest assured because there are 2 simple words that will calm your hesitations down while simultaneously making you more awesome:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day & Read Me: I’m (1/8th) Irish!

P.S. There are only 2 more new episodes of How I Met Your Mother left before the Series Finale. Tune in tonight at 8:00 p.m. on CBS!
