Happy Monday
First Star Wars in 2015 and now Indiana Jones in 2020.
Yes, Harrison Ford is returning to play a few of his most iconic (and beloved) cinematic characters. Mr. Ford was awesome as Han Solo in The Force Awakens and there’s no reason to suspect he will let fans down as Professor Jones in 2020 with Steven Spielberg at his side.
Well, as long as George Lucas doesn’t get the final call on the script (cough cough Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).
However, 2020 is still a long way off into the future. If only there was another iconic character Mr. Ford could revive in the meantime…
The original Blade Runner from 1982, a model for many subsequent science-fiction films, seems to have a worthy successor in Blade Runner 2049 based solely on the first full-length trailer released today.

Fact: Today is Monday.
Better Fact: Today does not have to feel like Monday.
Mondays get a bad rap. But you have to feel some sympathy for Mondays as it’s the first day that follows our fun, relaxing weekend. That’s a rough, picked-last-during-recess kind of gig. Now, in an attempt to give Mondays a better reputation, let’s give that word a temporary substitute.
For the sake of this blog post, the word Monday will be replaced with the word jazz.
Here’s to that pure Monday jazz.
Sometimes, you just have to escape into la la land to hear a different, more stirring beat to that same old song.

Happy Monday
While we can’t always change what happens to us, we can change the way we see what happens to us.
This blog post, taking its place on the weekly Happy Monday circuit, has one purpose. And that purpose is to creatively showcase how we all have the incredible power to look at a situation from a completely different angle (or series of various angles) at any given time, thereby giving that moment a fresh perspective and outlook.
I’d like to say it’s as easy as 1-2-3.
Except, it’s pole vaulting, so it’s not easy at all. However, the views are spectacular and well worth it, particularly when you let someone else do the whole pole vaulting thing with a GoPro camera.
Here’s to getting over the challenges of this workweek…perhaps with a bird’s-eye view?

Boomshaka-wait?
There are some weeks when we feel fully prepared. There are some weeks when we feel, well, less than fully prepared. In the case of the latter, we just have to deal with the adversity. Yes, it’s tough and full of unknowns. And one of the most frustrating (yet necessary) aspects of these types of challenges is trying to find anything that will lead to success, no matter the obstacle.
Even basketball.
So that’s why Julliard doesn’t have a basketball team. Makes sense.
