The Boys of Summer (Minus 1) Are Back
A lot of sand is nothing to write home about. However, THE Sandlot is an entirely different (and thoroughly entertaining) story. Aside from the fact it’s been a quarter-century since The Sandlot premiered in movie theaters, this film is timeless and will always be 25 kinds of awesome.
What’s more trying: Avoiding the famed pitfalls of Friday the 13th or attempting to recover a baseball signed by Babe Ruth (or Baby Ruth, for true Sandlot fans) hit over a neighbor’s fence and into a backyard guarded a monstrous dog?
Well, you’ll only want to relive one on repeat.
Bill & Keith’s Impersonation Adventure
Have you ever wondered if Keth Morrison has ever seen Bill Hader’s impression of him on Saturday Night Live?
I have. And on more than one occasion. That’s because, like Kristen Bell in the video below and anyone who has seen this hilarious imitation of the dramatic NBC host, we need to know that the real Keith Morrison likes Bill Hader’s impersonation as the slightly less real Keith Morrison.
Let’s see.
Ohhhhh…
Thankfully, the DNA (Dramatic & Naturally Awesome) test result for this celebrity impression is positive news.
What is REALity?
The reality of seeing Ready Player One’s visually stunning virtual reality world is coming to a theater near us all very soon.
And as this week has been dedicated to this film’s highly-anticipated release, let’s dive right into a recent interview with legendary director Steven Spielberg, actress Olivia Cooke, and actor Tye Sheridan.
These days, the line between reality and virtual reality seems to be moving ever closer towards a gray zone (ironically). The fictional, dystopian future portrayed in Ready Player One seems to reveal an immersive world between reality and virtual reality, yet one that hints at distinguishing reality from virtual reality.
Welcome to a world perfectly built for Steven Spielberg.
Ready Player One arrives in movies theaters tomorrow, March 29.
Happy Monday!
If Steven Spielberg doesn’t get you motivated on a Monday, then I don’t know who can…
Ready Player One premieres in movie theaters later this week (Tickets: Check). And if there’s another book that’s more perfectly written for Steven Spielberg to direct–I’m actually not sure that alternative book exists.
Bottom line: Ready Player One looks uniquely special for Steven Spielberg.
Have a Better Week Than Last Week.
