Just Like the Movies

Did you know July 6th is “National Kissing Day”?

Now you do!

We all want that perfect kiss. Yes, even gentlemen imagine meeting the woman of their dreams, feeling that spark that changes their life forever. However, as we all know, that serendipitous moment doesn’t arrive on any schedule. Only the Universe knows and she’s a mysterious appointment-maker. 99% of the time, we’re left wondering about that kiss.

And that surprise moment usually goes something like this…

Vespa’s Comeback

Somehow, someway, society “officially” decided that we should dedicate an entire day to remembering past greatness. “Throwback Thursday” gives us pause to reflect on life’s highlights.

Speaking of which, on this day back in 1953, the classic Roman Holiday premiered in theaters. The beautifully romantic tour de love and laughter introduced the world, in center stage fashion, to the stunningly beautiful, adorably quirky and amazingly graceful Audrey Hepburn.

Perfection.

I really need to travel to Rome and make my own holiday.

Happy Monday!

Why treat Monday like a Monday?

Traditionally, it’s the beginning of the workweek. Unconventionally, it’s the beginning of the next great party.

Party Like It’s 1961!

Happy Monday!

Yesterday was not only the Star Wars holiday “May The 4th Be With You” Day, but it was also the birthday of a movie and fashion icon: the adorably beautiful and wonderfully quirky Audrey Hepburn.

She would have been 85 today.

Audrey Hepburn stole the hearts of countless men and was the admiration of countless women who were equally drawn to her infectiously playful spirit, impeccable style and infinitely illuminating smile and charm. Audrey Hepburn seemingly had it all, which she put on full-display in cinematic classics like Roman Holiday, Funny Face, How to Steal a MillionSabrina, My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (to name only a few). The latter film, of course, inspired the 1995 song of the same name by the band Deep Blue Something.

Plus, don’t forget her Oscar win for Roman Holiday!

To pay a tribute to her today, below is a short video showcasing some of her most memorable moments from her most memorable role.

The illustrious Audrey Hepburn will live on forever, admired in the most classic and beautiful ways imaginable, as well as in the most fun and lovingly silly ways imaginable.

Just like her.

Happy Monday & Happy Belated Birthday Audrey Hepburn!
