Merry Christmas!
‘Tis the season for spending time with loved ones. In whatever way you celebrate Christmas morning and Christmas day, the most important thing is to create lasting memories by embracing this holiday’s special traditions.
And one of those aforementioned traditions is music.
Merry Christmas!
From Burnt to Burns
Two years meets the time required to be considered a flashback, right?
Regardless of the rules of the social media protocol, it does for today’s installation of Flashback Friday.
A favorite blooper interview (not a blooper reel, but a full-fledged blooper interview) of Jimmy’s Daily Planet is from a couple years ago. Actors Sienna Miller, Daniel Brühl, and Bradley Cooper are promoting their 2015 film Burnt with Willie Geist of NBC’s TODAY Show. While the movie is beautifully (and deliciously) shot with an intriguing story, there are occasional pops of cringe-worthy soundtrack selections and dialogue cooked from over-priced self-immortalization. And this is the fault of the writing and producing, not the acting. Still, despite these flaws unmistakenly burned around the edges and partly into the main story, there’s a great, entertaining movie in Burnt that leaves us all striving to one day afford to eat at the fictional Adam Jones at the Langham.
Luckily, we can experience the real chemistry (and improvisational comedic chops) of actors Sienna Miller, Daniel Brühl, and Bradley Cooper.
If there’s a funnier food dish than Wienerschnitzel said in perfect German, please let me know.
Happy Flashback Friday!
Picturing The Fresh Prince in 2017…
Will there or won’t there, Will?
With everybody fondly remembering how awesome sitcoms were from the mid-’80s through the first several years of the 21st century, “renewal” and “reboot” have become certifiable buzz words in today’s popular culture. From the writing to the casting to the sets to the clever laugh-out-loud humor to the heartwarming moments wrapped in subtle life lessons, it seems that virtually any show with most of its primary cast living these days is being asked about bringing their show back on primetime TV.
Enter Will Smith and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
While The Fresh Prince will remain in reruns (that’s still a plus), that photo of Will Smith looking exactly like James Avery (Uncle Phil) is enough of a gift for fans. It’s a sign of the true specialness and staying power of that sitcom. A unique sign of that once-in-a-lifetime television era.
Like this heartfelt moment between Will and Uncle Phil.

Trust me, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will live on forever.
