Park, Our Fun Begins Now
The weekend is finally here.
Not the musician, but the end of the workweek.
And this is the glorious occasion that happens just 52 times a year and should be taken full-advantage of when it arrives. Particularly in nice weather, like in Columbus, OH at the moment, finding that one activity (or several) to define your entire weekend is of the highest importance. Put more simply, we strive to get from Point A to an excitingly awesome, sometimes unknown Point B.
This journey of sorts usually begins as we’re leaving the office…
Well, as we all know, we have to be constantly aware of roadblocks…
and refrigerator boxes around office buildings.
Should My New Tattoo Read “Dude” or “Sweet”?
Let me set the scene:
It’s the year 2000…
No, not that video from the year 2000. But this other pop-culture phenomenon appears to be gaining steam (or electrical power, depending on your modern transportation preferences) for a miraculous (a word choice that depends on your definition preferences) in the near future.
If your favorite movies include films like The Pianist, then yeah, you’re probably not going to be particularly excited here…
or maybe you will happy to hear this developing news. Hey, my favorite movies range from Dumb and Dumber to the mind-bending cinematic epics of Christopher Nolan. It’s important not to judge a book by its cover.
Unless that book cover contains the name, “L. Ron Hubbard.”
Either way, any excuse to bring back those Adidas track suits again, we should all be for such a catalyst.
FYI – Seriously Dude, Where’s My Car? needs to happen!
Rock Music’s Neighborhood Watch
Foo Fighters have a new song off their forthcoming album, “Concrete and Gold.” This equally rockin’ and catchy song is titled, “The Sky is a Neighborhood” and it was released by the band today, along with a very clever music video.
Enough said.
The Foo Fighters, after 23-years, still remain the pop-culture masters of imagining the most awesomely unique and entertaining music videos. You never forget their songs nor those defining accompanying music videos.
And that’s why the sky continues to be the limit for the Foo Fighters.
P.S. Those eyes in the music video simulating shining stars…stellar!
Fish with the Snark
While Curb Your Enthusiasm is returning this October (sadly, not Fish in the Dark), that feels like a year away at this point.
The bad news.
However, despite this frustration, and the equal frustrations concerning the eternal and always-present nature of online technologies, there are certainly some benefits to the internet as the world progresses day-by-day towards October. Stay with me and you’ll discover the subtlety of where I’m going with this…
and it leads me to one of those aforementioned benefits. The good news.
Larry David is just like Larry David. Or is it that Larry David is just like Larry David?
Oh, that’s right, we’re all just like Larry David (well, our inner voice).
