Six Degrees of Breathing
We’re all first-time Jamaican bobsledders when our bones are chilling in single-digit weather.
When schools are increasingly being cancelled twelve hours before the start of the first class, that’s typically a sign to put on a pair of gloves, a scarf and a George Costanza puffy Michelin Man Gore-Tex jacket. The old school, non-digital thermostat that hangs outside everybody’s home will freeze in place at around 6-degrees tomorrow morning.
That’s chilly, even in Calgary.
Ahhhh…Smoke Breathe it in.
Happy Monday!
RIP David Bowie.
The musician passed away Sunday after battling cancer. Reports have indicated that he was surrounded by family and friends. Even at 69 years of age, many thought he was entering the next phase of his musical career. “Blackstar” (released just a few days ago) introduced fans to a jazz-infused musical journey with the singer.
His death was a shock to his fans and casual listeners alike.
David Bowie’s legacy will live on, however. The pop culture icon’s work extends well beyond his stage and influenced other entertainment circles.

$800 million for $2?
The ticket price for the Powerball Lottery seems like a clear sign to re-popularize the rarely seen (but real) two dollar bill featuring Thomas Jefferson, don’t you think?
This lottery and its eye-popping jackpot, now in its second round because of no initial winner from earlier this week, demands to be played. Not only is it affordable, but it’s fun and exciting.
Yes, the odds are sort of against us (1 in 292,201,338). Yes, $800 million is actually difficult to comprehend as being a real monetary value. And yes, remember during the drawing tomorrow to read and check your numbers very, very carefully…
The dumbest thing you can do is not risk your morning coffee money for the chance to win the $800 Powerball jackpot.
Unlike Lloyd, Christmas could come early for one of us this year!
