Star Wars: The Force Takes Over
A week-and-a-half into its premiere and The Force Awakens has gifted 2015 with its second $1 billion+ box office monster (the first was Jurassic World). The space epic also became the fastest movie to achieve the aforementioned cinematic feat, barely edging out its prehistoric competition. Star Wars fanatics are undeniably confirming and showcasing their storied, wide-spread fandom to the world and its outer galaxies through ticket sales at the hyper-drive of the Millennium Falcon.
Fans are ecstatic that the old gang (and its new crew) are, as Han Solo says in the trailer, “home.”
Fortunately for us, the creative minds at ESPN joined forces with Star Wars royalty for a special documentary of sorts. The worldwide leader in sports ventured across the galaxy to become the worldwide leader in…

Ohio Against the World
Jesse Owens ran in a lane nobody thought was possible.
Rarely are sports simply about the competition alone. The undercurrents run much deeper and the motivation for an athlete can reveal their character. In the case of Jesse Owens, a once-in-a-lifetime runner and jumper, his finish line was different and more profound than everybody else on the track. The risk-reward for Owens was so great it extended beyond Ohio’s borders and got the attention of Nazi Germany and Hitler himself at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
Ladies and gentlemen, you’ll never look at track and field or Owens the same way again after watching this brand new trailer for Race.
While it feels like a marathon to get the story of Jesse Owens told on the silver screen, his life on-and-off the track will win over our hearts and minds in a matter of seconds.

A Trial Listen
Steven Spielberg’s new film, Bridge of Spies, starring Tom Hanks begins its theatrical run this week.
The legendary director, who has taken us on rides through the heroics and tragedy of war to a park with genetically-engineered dinosaurs to the open sea with a supreme predator to treasure-mapped adventures, has taken his camera and storytelling expertise to the high-stakes game of negotiation.
An ordinary lawyer protecting a captured enemy of war with the American legal system as his defense during the Cold War may not sound terribly exciting, but the story (based in truth) just may lead us all to experience the movie that critics are raving about.
While the trailer looks exciting, the music takes it to another level…the Spielberg-level.
Movie soundtracks can make or break a film. In special cases, the perfect score can define a film, characters, story and/or concept.
A powerful soundtrack can bridge the gap between action and inaction…
or between staying home and going out to the theater.
Standing in the Cold
When Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks join forces, good things happen (Saving Private Ryan, The Terminal, Catch Me If You Can).
Their latest collaboration, Bridge of Spies, is a Cold War thriller with a seemingly mundane premise: a trial. This trial involves spies and (as the brand new trailer below reveals) the legal and moral ramifications in this beautifully shot film rise to the highest-levels of mid-20th century drama. The soundtrack adds a pulsating element that aggressively grabs us and keeps our attention as much as Mr. Hanks’ magnetic presence.
Ladies and gentlemen, it appears that Mr. Spielberg has made yet another must-see movie.
The verdict will be given October 16, 2015.
