Finally, a Raider Who Knows How to Win
While she is super strong and skilled and considered a hero among some, she doesn’t quite meet the standard for a traditional superhero. She doesn’t fly, have x-ray vision or have a otherwordly hammer. And in the age of cinematic superheroes, despite subtle and clearly distinguishable differences, many presume that all superheroes are the same.
That idea is wrong, but that’s an analysis for a different day.
The 2018 version of Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) will challenge that generalized perception by adding a necessary space. Lara Croft is not a superhero with super powers, but a super hero with seemingly relatable abilities.
Well, relatable and attainable in the close, but still far away sense, I suppose.

The magic of film is a mysteriously powerful force that not only invites temporary escapism in a theater, but can, with certain movies, offer a long-lasting escape within ourselves.
And there’s that movie and/or scene that will never stop running around in our minds.
The Blade Runner 2049 team has accomplished such a feat. Here is the latest TV spot that Warner Bros. Pictures debuted today for the aforementioned film arriving in cinemas in less than a month on October 6th.
The title of this trailer (yes, trailers have titles now) is, “Begins.”
Seems fitting since fans everywhere simply want their local movie theater’s film projectors to begin playing Blade Runner 2049 already.
Just Back! in Time to Reopen That Bottle
A return to the past in the future is almost here…
Will & Grace (Part II?) looks like it has, somehow, replicated their lightning-in-a-bottle magic from their original run from 1998-2006. Perhaps this magic can be traced to the fact that all the original cast, crew, writers, producers and director(s) are rumored to have returned for a second-go in 2017.
And beyond.
A second season has already been ordered by NBC.
From all the promos and teasers, that preemptive decision seems like a wise move by the former “Must-See” TV network. Let’s not forget that Will & Grace (Part I?) was one of the sitcoms that made up “Must-See” television on NBC. And NBC, with a two-season revival planned before the pilot of Will & Grace (Part II?) even airs, is hoping their network’s bottle from its sitcom golden age will catch a spark to begin its own revival.

Damn, Daniel!
You know how people say something isn’t true unless it’s true?
For example, speculation has been that Daniel Craig would eventually return as the iconic 007 after a long break following the Spectre. That’s been what many people (including myself) have believed to be true for quite some time, in our minds.

Apologies, Mr. Craig/James Bond/007.
This is amazing news. While Sean Connery will always be known as the greatest James Bond in cinematic history, Daniel Craig has given the Scotsman a serious run for his money. Partly because Daniel Craig has brought unrivaled modernity, realism and grit to the character. But also in part because Daniel Craig’s James Bond is a more complicated and conflicted character with a relatable (as relatable as 007 can be) emotional range to how a normal person would react and think beyond the flashy gadgets and unforgettable catchphrases.
So, it’s officially one more film for Daniel Craig as James Bond. And that’s exactly what 007 fans have been saying since Mr. Craig’s brilliant first-go as the British spy in Casino Royale back in 2006. And we’ll keep on saying it…one more film…one more film…one more film, please.
Just don’t ask Daniel Craig that one question two days after wrapping Bond 25 (title TBD).
