A Mind Trip Unlike Any Other

The man’s name was Robin Williams. The man’s occupation was making people laugh. And the formula for comedy is tragedy plus time.

We owe Robin Williams, the man who made us laugh out loud and cry like no other comic (Mrs. Doubtfire, dears), to take the time to hear and understand his personal tragedy that, evidently, was a parallel force pulling at the imaginative, faster-than-lightning comedic genius.

This brand new trailer for the brand new HBO documentary ‘Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind’ will make us laugh and make us cry. Hopefully, HBO has timed the release date of Monday, July 16 at 8 p.m. ET correctly so audiences can appreciate both emotions separately and as one.

RIP Margot Kidder

Running a website/blog called Jimmy’s Daily Planet, the following news is tough to write and process.

Actress Margot Kidder died this past Sunday in Montana at the age of 69. Like her iconic ‘Superman’ co-star, Christopher Reeve, Ms. Kidder delivered an equally iconic performance that elevated her as the greatest Lois Lane in the storied superhero saga.

RIP Margot Kidder.

RIP Earle Bruce

Former head football coach of The Ohio State Buckeyes from 1979-1987, the 87-year-old Earle Bruce, has died.

There’s so much to say about Mr. Bruce–on and off the gridiron–but at this reflective moment, there’s one memory that rises above the rest.

There are few greater honors as a Buckeye than to dot the “i” in Script Ohio in the Horseshoe back in 2016. And Mr. Bruce was provided that unforgettable opportunity.

RIP Earle Bruce.

RIP Barbara Bush

Former First Lady Barbara Bush died today at the towering age of 92. She served as a wonderful example for several generations of Americans, including her work to advance literacy. And as the wife of President George H.W. Bush and the mother of President George W. Bush, it was inevitable that she would develop a tough skin. However, for anyone who knew her, she’s been one tough woman for practically her entire life.

RIP Barbara Bush.
