Happy Monday!
Who will we be this week?
Music inspires so many things within ourselves and certain songs can pleasantly surprise us. Upon hearing “Remedy” by the Zac Brown Band from the Jekyll+Hyde album in my car when my music library was set to a random shuffle, the first word that came to mind was happy.
And then the word Monday.

Following the spectacular closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, it’s only natural to be a bit nostalgic.
Quick question: Can we be nostalgic for things that happened weeks/days ago?
I think so.

It’s Monday
“Pure Imagination,” as sung by the late Gene Wilder as the title character in 1971s cinematic masterpiece Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, is an untouchable classic. That’s a universal truth for a variety of reasons. And yet, the filmmakers behind 2018s Ready Player One used a new version of the aforementioned song in their latest trailer that may succeed as a worthy runner-up.
An old song is ready to be played for a new generation.

Mondays can feel the same. But that’s more so the nature of having to kick-off the workweek, I suppose. And that’s why we look for things that will make Monday a little different.
On some occasions, it can be beneficial to listen to that voice in our head…even if it’s someone else’s voice.
If you can pull off that good of a Christopher Walken impression, you’re the king of some jungle.
