The Biggest Screening of the Future?
I’m ready already.
Yesterday’s Happy Monday kicked-off a week of blog posts leading up to the highly-anticipated science-fiction cinematic adventure Ready Player One. A film intertwined with VR-technology that may not be as far off into the future as we imagine has been described as “Pure Spielberg magic” by Empire Magazine’s movie critic Terri White.
The scenes in the real world look gritty and, well, real. The scenes in virtual reality look visually stunning and playfully immersive from an inactive audience perspective.
The making of this cinematic experience behind-the-scenes is equally engaging.
Could this be a modern attempt at Back to the Future-level nostalgia and visions of the future?
We’ll just have to see. Literally.
Happy Monday!
If Steven Spielberg doesn’t get you motivated on a Monday, then I don’t know who can…
Ready Player One premieres in movie theaters later this week (Tickets: Check). And if there’s another book that’s more perfectly written for Steven Spielberg to direct–I’m actually not sure that alternative book exists.
Bottom line: Ready Player One looks uniquely special for Steven Spielberg.
Have a Better Week Than Last Week.

Thankfully, Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon aren’t strangers. If they were, the “History of TV Theme Songs” would have never happened.
But they are friends, pals, and even a confidant when needed.
A Sister’s Charming Act
In every NCAA tournament, there’s at least one lower-seeded team–a Cinderella–that captures the heart and imagination of the nation whilst we watch our brackets crumble under the pressure of shocking upsets. Normally, this Cinderella of sorts solely references a men’s basketball team. However, this year, March Madness may finally have a true Cinderella in 98-year-old Sister Jean…
Good News: The Ramblers of Loyola-Chicago narrowly defeated the Nevada Wolfpack 69-68 tonight to reach the Elite Eight.
Better News: Cinderella’s slipper heartwarming and quick-witted spirit will continue to be in the international spotlight, befitting the uniquely-special character of college sports during this time of year.
