‘First Man’ Gets a Second Loop

‘First Man’ will not have a surprise ending–though conspiracy theorists may buy tickets just in case–yet the forthcoming film starring Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy looks every bit as engaging as the real events involving America’s successful landing on the moon back on July 20, 1969.

In preparation for the launch of the Damien Chazelle-directed movie that opens in theaters on October 12 (including IMAX), Universal Pictures premiered the second official trailer for ‘First Man’ today.

Seeing ‘First Man’ on the biggest screen possible will serve as a great reminder of what that risky, inspirational mission represented for our world nearly 50 years ago.

2018: A Space Return

Some movies are made for IMAX.

‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ is one of these films.

And this cinematic epic–and this landmark film in equal measure–will be re-released in IMAX in movie theaters across the country. Digitally remastered for the size, scope, scale, feel and the sound of everything that is awesome with IMAX, ‘2001’ will give audiences the chance to see this movie again. Or possibly for the first time in stunning fashion.

Here’s a preview.

Check your local listings to see if the IMAX version of ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ will be playing in a movie theater near you.

This isn’t just a movie. It’s an experience.

America’s Journey Is Limitless

On the eve of celebrating America’s birthday with backyard BBQ’s, parades and fireworks, it seems fitting to replay the first trailer of the forthcoming major motion picture ‘First Man’ starring Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy with director Damien Chazelle.

There is no limit to the American imagination.

Making Space for New Stuff

What is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) up to these days?

Whether 2001: A Space Odyssey, Apollo 13, Gravity, Interstellar, The Martian or the forthcoming First Man, Hollywood has piqued movie-going audiences into the vast realities and fantastical possibilities of space.

Sorry, a side note:

The older I get, the more I’m amused at the sheer simplicity of calling the ever-complex and unknown space “space.”

“What’s up there with the infinite stars, planets, moon, sun and all-around cosmic mystery?”

“Space.”

I digress. And so does NASA.

What highly-technical, mind-blowing innovations and life-altering journeys are being planned by NASA for this year and beyond?

Things…on a To-Do list.
