When Will Player 2 Be Ready?
‘Ready Player One’ was an awesome movie experience–in 2D and 3D–visualized for the silver screen by legendary director Steven Spielberg from the literary imagination of Spielbergian author Ernest Cline. And the critical success, as well as the box office success, naturally sparks the question:
Will there be a ‘Ready Player Two’ film?
The comprehensive success of the film supports the notion of a sequel. Yes. But it’s the Oasis and what this wildly imaginative virtual world has become since the events of the first film or book (insert your storytelling preference here) that really justifies the necessity for an IMAX-sized sequel.

The Wild West of Writing
‘Westworld’ is a television enigma for the modern era, or whenever the show takes place in the 21st-century future.
Aside from Reddit users who routinely dissect each episode with a scalpel, sometimes to the playful annoyance of Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy, who are the head writers, co-creators, and husband and wife duo of the critically-acclaimed HBO-adapted series. There was a moment at Comic-Con between the first and second season of ‘Westworld’ when a fan at a large panel asked Mr. Nolan about “Samurai World,” and the famed screenwriter dryly replied with his eyes staring downward, “Do you want there to be a Samurai World?”
It was all in good fun, of course, as he enjoys the constant conversations Reddit users engage in concerning ‘Westworld.’
Mr. Nolan recently gave insight into his digital relationship with Reddit users, as well venturing into the risky contortion act in moviemaking known as high-level casting from a writer’s perspective with a familial connection.

What could should have been…
The new trailer for a canceled show debuted online today. That’s a weird sentence.
For some unknown reason, the Tremors TV show on Syfy was canceled before given a chance to explode out of the ground floor with its beloved, nostalgic power-player. Kevin Bacon, the star of the original 1990 Tremors film–and the six-degrees of separation guy–had surprisingly signed on to make a non-HBO and non-network reboot of the cult classic. Yes, Syfy, which is the same channel that produced all those Sharknado movies (they are fun to watch for how awesomely bad they are with acute self-awareness).
Now, is this TV adaptation officially dead in the desert of Perfection, Nevada? With all the streaming options out there–and based on the potential from this trailer and its big-name leading man–this show may pop-up somewhere else in the near future with new life.
Someplace more perfect than Syfy.
