When Facial Recognition Is a Bust

We all remember the statue disaster regarding soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo that was unveiled back in 2017 that was a legitimate global news story.

Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo stands near a bust of his likeness during a ceremony to rename Madeira's airport after him on March 29, 2017. Right: The bust that was revealed.

The comical bust that can be seen above, which was created by Emanuel Santos for a ceremony that honored the soccer star by renaming the Madeira Airport to Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo Airport in Portugal, was eventually replaced last summer. In the same spirit, ‘Late Late Show’ host James Corden decided to pull a prank just a couple of days ago along these same hilariously exaggerated (jaw) lines.

The target: James Corden’s friend and fellow Brit, David Beckham.

After Bayern Munich was eliminated from Champions League during the team’s return leg against Liverpool, which is something I am still processing, I needed to laugh.

This did the trick.

If You Can’t Beet Him…

It’s the weekend!

Now, it may be tempting to take this opportunity to act a little differently than we do throughout the workweek. That’s completely normal and a good thing. However, be careful not to completely change who we are…

yeah–scratch that if it’s as hilarious as one of Jim’s pranks. It is quite difficult to beat a flashback from The Office (U.S.) on a Friday.

Fact.

Bazinga!

College kids today face countless challenges, some of which are incredibly daunting. There’s no telling what the future will hold.

“Will I pass the test?”

“Is there going to be an opportunity for me to do what I love for a living?”

“How will I pay for this?”

“I’m going to be in debt for the rest of my life.”

Fortunately, college kids show absolutely no shortage in the creativity department. Specifically, the young men and women at Aquinas College.

And teachers think students don’t pay attention to their rules…

Happy April Fools’ Day!

The Stars are at War in Gotham

There are clues for a myriad of puzzles to solve all around us. It’s one of the truly fantastic aspects of life: never-ending treasure hunts for the eternally curious human population. One of the most fun exercises is when we notice an anomaly in a favorite movie or television show. In the case of the following video clip, director J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: Episode VII) continues to have fun with his blockbuster director friend Zack Snyder (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice).

An ordinary visual tour of the new Millennium Falcon, right?

It’s likely a good guess that this will not be the last time these two directors cross-over their universes. After all, someone’s got to post bail for this guy…
