Happy Monday
The power of music earns another win, this time with some southern charm.
There are some song titles that just fit perfectly into a mood or day of the week. And it appears that Lady Antebellum has come up with such a song title. While the day of the week this song applies to may vary, “You Look Good” sounds like a great, uplifting way to kick-off a new workweek.
Here’s the brand new music video for “You Look Good” by Lady Antebellum.
This music video looks good as the opening act for ‘song of the summer.’
Have a Better Week Than Last Week.
Gigant…Giganti…You Say It, Mr. Bloom
A small fish is okay, but a big fish is better.
To celebrate Throwback Thursday, it’s time to revisit the illustrious life of Mr. Edward Bloom from the book and film of the same name. For anyone who has seen the 2003 movie, Big Fish is a cinematic and storytelling masterpiece. Author Daniel Wallace reimagined the way we can (and should) perceive life.
Exhibit A:
Try and work in the word gigantificationism into normal conversation. That word is what you would call a big fish in a small (or large) pond.
Happy Throwback Thursday.
Mr. Fallon’s Surprise Lesson Plan
A good teacher changes countless people’s lives for the better.
Fact.
Yesterday’s news was dominated by the surprise firing of FBI Director James Comey. However, May 9th was Teacher’s Day. Much like mother’s and father’s day, this occasion should be an everyday celebration. And to express his appreciation for educators, Jimmy Fallon did something special for the teachers who were in his Tonight Show audience last night.
Late Night Hosting Grade: A
Jimmy shows great interest in this subject and has a way of winning over his classmates audience members with his positive demeanor and entertaining sketches akin to hijinks of a class clown. He also has a comedic sidekick by the name of Steve Higgins.
FBI Director Comey: You’re Fired
Yes, this really just happened.
As is the nature of breaking news, little information is known beyond the firing of FBI Director James Comey by President Trump. However, the very unusual firing of an FBI Director does raise many questions that will be asked relentlessly in the coming days and weeks.
Why did President Trump fire FBI Director James Comey? More specifically, why right now? Why by way of a letter?
For a president who made a past career out of firing people a must-see televised event that included extensive analysis of his reasoning, this firing-by-opaque-letter is very odd.
Seems like a situation for the FBI to investigate.
