The 3-Hour Filming Approximation

Later today, I will sit on a bench just outside Warner Bros. Studios in a parking garage for more than a couple hours with a ticket in-hand in hopes of being handed that treasured, worn yellow card with a number well under 80 (to be safe).

Attending a sitcom taping, like “Two and a Half Men” or, like tonight, “The Big Bang Theory,” is s feat upon itself. First, clicking your way to a ticket online is brutally tough. But then you need to exercise dedication and patience to gain access to a seat inside the set. Having gone through this process before (including the pilot for “TBBT” and scenes in the series finale of “Two and a Half Men”), hopefully the odds will be good today.

If all goes to plan, the writing and acting will be incredible as always. And, hopefully, there will be a celebrity impression or two…

Let’s all agree that when Nicolas Cage is involved, everybody wins.
