Believable&Unbelievable

When life gets stressful at the end of the workweek, the secret is to look up.

And then up again.

Rewriting the laws of gravity, perspective and reality, Coldplay released their latest music video that may be unlike anything you’ve seen before. At the precise moment you think you know what you’re looking at, Chris Martin and Co. throw you a curve ball…that turns out not to be a curve ball at all.

Ladies and gentlemen, take a visual journey with “Up&Up.”

Is it just me, or is there a Forrest Gump quality in this music video? There’s a subtle feeling of experiencing major historical moments and visiting picturesque locations with an extraordinary, larger-than-life presence.

In that case, here’s to hoping someone hands you a box of chocolates this weekend.

Or whatever it transforms into.

Can’t Stop the Weekend!

Justin Timberlake has used his musical experience and 20/20 vision to create the presumptive summer hit of 2016.

The Renaissance Man from Memphis is taking a slight break from choreographed dancing and is hoping his friends and fans will take over and bust a move. Released some 10 hours ago in an attempt to win the weekend, “CAN’T STOP THE FEELING!” (with the cast of DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls) is infectiously fun.

“So just dance, dance, dance, come on…”

Put on your Nike’s and just do it!

These Sounds Will Not Be Silent

Batman or Superman?

Fortunately, there’s a cinematic battle between these two DC Universe icons in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that will finally answer this age old question. This movie of epic proportions premieres in theaters today and the hype, expectations and immediate future of both characters is on the line.

Henry Cavill gave moviegoers an introduction to his Superman in 2013s Man of Steel and Ben Affleck is following the damn-near perfect (if not arguably perfect) portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman with The Dark Knight trilogy that concluded just 4 short years ago.

No pressure there.

I have not seen Batman v Superman yet, but there have been plenty of teasers and trailers lately (too many?) that, visually, the movie’s look has been pretty well revealed. How about the soundtrack? This movie is interesting in that it has two very familiar composers. Hans Zimmer composed a brilliant Dark Knight trilogy score and he also did Man of Steel’s wonderful soundtrack with assistance from Junkie XL.

Playing on his expertise with both superheroes, Mr. Zimmer collaborated with soundtrack veteran Junkie XL and crafted the sounds of Batman v Superman.

Here’s the opening taste from the soundtrack.

Once again: Batman or Superman?

Happy Monday!

Back in 1963, director Alfred Hitchcock sent chills down the spines of moviegoers everywhere with his terrifying portrayal of the seemingly peaceful, elegant winged-creatures in the sky. The Birds (a critically-acclaimed movie) made us fearful of what glides above us, ready to attack with friends aplenty.

Today, in the newly-minted 2016, the British quartet Coldplay is aiming to counter Hitchcock’s nightmarish reputation of birds.

Ladies and gentlemen, fly into the new year with the help of birds.

Have an Uplifting Week!
